Overview

Cendol Hok Aloh stands out in Putrajaya’s vibrant Medan Selera of Presint 9 as a humble yet noteworthy cendol destination. Nestled somewhat discreetly with its stall facing the back, this spot rewards those who seek it with a genuine taste of traditional Malaysian cendol. The restaurant’s highlight, Cendol Pulut, masterfully balances sweetness and creaminess, creating an experience that resonates with both local aficionados and newcomers.

What makes Cendol Hok Aloh shine is the quality of its santan and gula Melaka blend. Customers consistently praise its thick, rich coconut milk—a rare treat in an era where artificial substitutes are common. The hint of saltiness woven subtly through the fragrant drizzles elevates the cendol’s complexity, delivering that signature ‘lemak’ flavour that lingers pleasantly on the palate. Portions are generous without feeling overwhelming, maintaining harmony between indulgence and refreshment.

The atmosphere, found amid the casual hustle of the Medan Selera, offers a genuine street-food vibe rather than a polished dining experience. Friendly staff, including a notably patient and masked attendant, add to the welcoming environment, though background music choices might clash with the modern palate. Still, the charm of the space lies in its authenticity, appealing particularly to those who crave traditional Malay desserts in a straightforward setting.

This spot caters well to a diverse crowd—from students taking a break, to local families, and dessert lovers hunting down quality cendol in Putrajaya. It’s a place where patrons can enjoy a long-standing Malaysian favourite without pretense. Whether seeking a quick treat or a leisurely sweet indulgence, Cendol Hok Aloh delivers a distinctive and satisfying cendol experience.

For visitors aiming to explore Putrajaya’s culinary gems, Cendol Hok Aloh is a must-visit. Its unique take on cendol, combined with its situational charm and carefully crafted flavours, keeps patrons coming back. Just remember to find the right stall, arrive with patience during peak hours, and prepare to enjoy some of the best authentic cendol the city offers.

The cendol is tasty, just right amount of sweetness and a good portion. The place is a bit hidden since it’s facing the back. Make sure you go to the right one

The cendol is the best in all of Putrajaya- pleas highlight the word 'Putrajaya'. You wouldn't catch me eating this fake santan stuff anywhere outside of Putrajaya. Either way, the service was good. The guy thats wearing a mask if friendly and patient. The atmosphere on the other hand, the other fellow competitor beside the shop plays the worse music known to man. No one want to listen to your old malay rock, play some Playboi Carti or something.

Pro: I must say this is one of the best cendol I taste in Klang Valley. Santan and cendol is very good, you can fell it's freshly made. The texture and color looks appetizing. The portion is fair for both cendol biasa and besar. I want to repeat again if I come again to Putrajaya. Cons: I feel they are stingy business. The staff measured precisely every bit of cendol that he wants to pour. When he accidentally put a bit more, he seems like just making a huge mistake. He also offered to add pulut for RM1. It's okay, but the way he asked a bit pushy like he really want to make that pulut sale.
